Ancestry Library Edition Becomes Newest Online Addition Print

Cumberland County Library is excited to announce it is now offering in-library access to ProQuest’s Ancestry Library Edition, free of charge to all residents of Cumberland County. The database — powered by — provides access to billions of records from census data, vital records, directories, photos, maps and more, including military collections and collections from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other international collections.

Library Director Susanne Sacchetti mentions, “Everyone is welcome to come into the library to use the database at one of the library’s public computers or on their own device, using the library’s WiFi. Our librarians would be more happy to assist anyone needing help with his or her genealogy research. We’re very excited to offer this wonderful resource to the community; we’ve received a lot of interest in it from our patrons.” The library will be offering periodic genealogy classes using Ancestry Library Edition beginning in July.
