 The
descriptions and photographs of these local wildflowers are the work of
Charles E. Gant, Millville lawyer and former assemblyman. Mr. Gant
photographed these flowers during a twenty-five year period from 1965-1990.
All were located in Cumberland County, New Jersey or nearby counties. Some
are now nearly extinct; others are increasingly hard to find. We hope nature
lovers and students of all ages will enjoy this collection and use it to
further their knowledge of the flowers that grace our roadsides, meadows and
backyards.
