What is this book about?
This dog wants to send a letter to Mrs. LaRue because he likes her. I think this book must be good.
What did you like/dislike about it?
I like this bookbecause it is very interesting. It seems good to me. It is very fun.

Me and my mom.

The name of the book was "Dear Mrs. Larue". I like the book but I don't now why. The book was about a dog that goes to a special school. He dos not like it there and he keeps writing notes owner and runs away. He comes back to his owner.

A boy who is going to camp imagines all the horrible things that will happen at camp. It is a very funny book.
 VP, 8, Buena   Gus Was A Friendly Ghost by Jane Thayer
A little ghost name Gus lives in an attic. He meets an annoying mouse and teaches him a lesson.  Whoever likes Caspar will probably like this book. It is funnier than scary.
 CH, Millville   Good Night Good Knight by Shelley Thomas.
I think this book is funny. It is about a knight who gets called by 3 little monsters.
 HM, Millville   Hide & Seek by Debbie Tillie.
This book is about a mouse that hides and the lady screams when she finds it. I like this book because of the mouse. You will too.
 NP, Millville   The Dirty Cowboy by Amy Timberlake
The name of the book was The Dirty Cowboy. It was written by Amy Timberlake and pictures by Adam Rex. I liked the book because it was funny. The book was about a cowboy who decided to take a bath. He takes of his cloths and tells his dog "no one touches these cloth but me". Then he takes a bath when he gets done his bath he goes to get his cloths his dog won't give him hiscloths back because the dog didn't recognizes his smell. Then they get in a big fight. After the fight the dog recognized his smell and became friends again ,then they went home.
 MH,8, Millville   Underwater World by Time-Life.
I learned a lot of things about life underwater. Like, did you know that barnacles eat plankton? This is really a cool book with lots of facts and cool pictures. I learned a lot by reading this book.
 Student from Holly Heights School,  Millville   Beans Baker Number 5 by Richard Torry.
It is about a boy named Beans Baker who was on a baseball team.  When the coach handed out the jerseys he gave Beans the number 5.  Beans was upset because a player named Wrong Way Haskins wore that number and everyone knew he ran the bases the wrong way after hitting a home run in his first game.  Beans was so upset about getting the number 5 that he wanted to quit.  His friends were able to get him to come back onto the team and Beans had a crucial hit to win a game for his team.The story was good because it showed how you look or the number you wear doesn't make a difference, anyone could play.

This book is about a girl named Samantha, who is an orphan. She lives with her Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornila. Her friend Nellie is a maid and then she goes to an orphanage called Cold rock House. Samantha tries her best to help Nellie. It is an adventurous book.

Changes for Samantha is a story on how Samantha tries to save her friend,  Nellie, and her sisters from an orphanage. Read this exciting book to see what happens.
 AM, Millville   Changes for Molly by Valerie Tripp.
Changes for Molly is a story about Molly going to be the top person in a program called, "Hurry for the USA." Then She gets sick and she thinks everything turns out perfectly awful.

Felicity's mother is going to have a baby.  They decide to go to Felicity's grandfather's house for a visit.  Halfway there, the carriage has an accident and they have to seek shelter in an abandoned cottage.  Suddenly, it's time for the baby to be born and Felicity doesn't know what to do.  How does it all turn out?  Read this American Girl story to find out.

This book is about a girl named Felicity Merriman who lives in Williamsburg, Virginia just before the Revolutionary War. Felicity loves horses and is very excited to hear about a new horse in town. But the horse is owned by Jiggy Nye, the cruel tanner who beats his animals. Felicity sneaks of to visit the horse and falls in love with the copper-colored mare she names Penny. Penny's life is in danger and Felicity helps the mare escape.

This book is about a girl named Kirsten who's family is coming from Sweden and going to America to find better farming land. Kirsten and her family are going to her uncle's farm to help grow crops. On the way to America, Kirsten's friend Marta dies because of a sickness called Cholera.

Meet Samantha is about Samanatha coming friends with Nellie. When her friend is in danger she tries to help her. Read this book to find out what happens.

This book is about a girl named Kirsten Larson. Kirsten longs for her doll Sari and her special things. Kirsten and her father go into town to get their things. Kirsten wants to have to have a celebration for Christmas and since there is a blizzard on the way home it seems the celebration will not happen.

This book is about a girl named Josefina Montoya who lives on a rancho with her 3 sisters and her Papa. Josefina's Mama died a few years ago. Josefina tries to do Mama's jobs as best as she can. When her grandfather surprises her with her aunt, Tia Dolores. Josefina wants to thank Tia Dolores for coming. Josefina picks some flowers out of Mama's garden for Tia Dolores, but when Papa's mean goat destroys the flowers, Josefina faces her fears.

This story was about a girl named Molly and all her friends and molly put socks and shirts on one of her friends, and her friend helped her. Molly's dad was in the war. The Mom and Mrs. Gilford take care of the kids. Mrs. Gilford makes Molly eat turnips. She doesn't like turnips. She stuffed them in her pocket and let the dog eat them. For Halloween Molly and her friends dressed up like Hula girls and danced. Her brother sprayed them with the hose and said, "I see London. I see France. I see your underpants." Then they all laughed about the trick.

This book is about a girl named Molly and her friends, Linda and Susan. The 3 friends are deciding what the best Holloween costumes are, since they already bragged at school about how great their Holloween costumes are. After a while they decide to be 3 Hula Dancers. They spend most of their time making crepe paper skirts and flower necklaces. Then on Trick-or-Treating night Molly's brother Ricky plays a dirty trick and it ruins their night.

This book is about a young girl who's class is having a "Lend a Hand Project" to help the war. The teams are boys against girls. The boys are collecting tin foil and the girls are knitting socks. Molly thinks the idea isn't very great so she decides to collect bottle caps instead. Since her idea doesn't work out, all the girls decide to make a quilt instead

This story is about a girl named Molly McIntire and her friends, Linda and Susan. They are expecting an English girl to stay at Molly's house. Molly, Linda and Susan are thinking that Emily is a princess. However, Emily turns out to be a scrawny little girl, who is very quiet at first. As Emily warms up to the McIntire family, Molly and Emily get into a fight. But when Molly and Emily have a wonderful birthday party they realize their fight was over nothing.

Happy Birthday Molly is a story about an English girl coming to stay with Molly and her family. While she is there, they plan a really cool birthday for Molly.

Happy Birthday Samantha is about Samantha and her Aunt Cornelia's twin sisters. The twins live in New York and are helping Samantha have the best birthday ever.

This book is about 2 girls named Nellie and Samantha. They live with their Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia. Nellie, Samantha, and Aunt Cornelia visit Nellie's old school and when Samantha sees several children with ragged clothes she realizes right at that moment that she never wants to go back to the school again. Soon Nellie persuades Samantha to volunteer at the school.

A little girl who was a Princess is never allowed to speak up.  When someone asked the Princess what she wanted for her birthday, the Queen stepped in and said "Clothes."  On her 16th birthdat, her Fairy Godmother tried to grant her a wish, but the Queen stepped in again and said "silver and gold."  The Fairy Godmother was smart and knew what the Princess really wanted.  You'll have to read it to find out what is was.  I really liked this book.

Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
What is this book about?
Tom Sawyer is about a boy named Tom Sawyer. He has many adventures including swindling kids to whitewash a fence, playing pirates on an uninhabited island, and finding treasure in a cave.
What did you like/dislike about it?
It is one of Twian’s best works. It is sort of scary because a doctor gets murdered at midnight. But besides that, it is extremely good. It was very interesting the things that were almost witchcraft that Tom believed in. 
Who would enjoy reading it?
Everyone or anyone who likes a book about a boy having adventures.

Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
What is this book about?
This book is the sequel to Tom Sawyer. Huck is kidnapped by his father and is taken to a hut in the woods. He escapes and rafts down the Mississippi and has many adventures.
What did you like about it?
This is a very good book and it is interesting how it is narrated by Huck himself. This is a very good book and is one of Mark Twain’s best literary works.
Who would enjoy reading it?
Anyone who likes Tom Sawyer.
