JW,10, Millville		Small Steps by Louis Sachar A great sequel to holes on the character Armpiton his adventures outside of Green Lake. Xray schemes almost get them in trouble again. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to Holes fans.

She tells him that his great great grandpa was hungry and snuck into the persimmon tree and was caught by the owner, Bear. Just before he escaped Bear bit his tail and stretched it and took all the hear away from it. That is why Epossumondas has no hair on his tail.

KV,8, Buena		Tropical Rainforests by April Sayre. This book is about plants and animals that live in the rainforest. It also tells you why we should save the rainforest. The book has really good pictures and lots of new vocabulary.

WG, Millville		Christmas Mice by Richard Scarry I liked this book, because it was funny. My favorite part was when the mice looked at the presents and finally found their present.

KV, 9, Buena		Skippyjon Jones By Judy Schachner. Skippyjon Jones is a cat that gets scolded by his mother for being bad. He gets locked in his room and notices in the mirror that his ears are too big. He starts to think that he must be a Chihuahua. In his imagination, he joins a group of dogs and has many adventures. It is a very funny book and I can’t wait to read the next one.

JW, 10, Millville		Snoopy: Flying Ace to the Rescue, by Charles Schultz. Join Snoopy as he once again goes after the Red Baron. I highly suggest this for Snoopy lovers. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

SW, 9, Millville		Ghosts! Ghostly Tales from Folklore by Alvin Schwartz. This book has a lot of creepy stories in that are based on real ones from around the world. I really liked it. It was not too scary.

JM, 9, Millville		Supergrandpa by David M. Schwartz. I like bikes and bike racing. This book is about an old man who enters a long race in Sweden and wins!

SW,8, Millville		Baloney (Henry P.) by Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith. This book is silly. It uses Martian language and you can translate it into English. It's a great book for kids

SW,8, Millville		The Frog Prince Continued by Jon Scieszka. This is about what happened after the Frog princess kissed the frog and turned him into a prince. Life was not so great after all.

SW,8, Millville		The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith. This book takes some fairy tales and puts some weird twists on them. It was really, really funny.

SW,8, Millville		Squids Will Be Squids by Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith. This book has very funny fables about animals. It is a great book.

KV,8, Buena		The Time Warp Trio: The Good, The Bad, And The Goofy by Jon Scieszka. This time the Time Warp Trio get themselves in a big mess. They go back in the past to the time of Cowboys and Indians. They find themselves in a stampede. After they find the “magic book,” they stop time. They try to stop the fighting between Cowboys and Indians. Will they be successful?

KV,8, Buena		The Time Warp Trio: The Not So Jolly Roger by Jon Scieszka. This book is part of a series. In this one, Johnny wishes he could find some buried treasure. The “magic book” takes them back in time and they end up in a coconut tree. Nearby, there is the famous pirate Blackbeard sailing by…what will happen to the treasure now? Read this one and you’ll be hooked.

KV,8,Buena		The Cat in the Hat Comes Back by Dr. Seuss.. This time, when they least need him, the Cat in the Hat comes back and makes things miserable. I didn't like it as much as the first Cat in the Hat book. It was disappointing.

The moral of the story is to stop when someone tells you to stop! If not, it could be too late. In this story, because no one listened to the Lorax, all of the trees got cut down and the rivers were polluted.

GC, Millville		The Sneetches and other Stories by Dr. Seuss. I chose The Sneetches and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss. The book was good because it had funny stories and interesting ones. I liked the story of "Zax" best because it was funny.

KV,8,Buena		Oh Say Can You Say by Dr. Seuss. Oh Say Can You Say is a book of tongue twisters much worse than "Peter Piper." It is a book you have to read a loud. My favorite one is about a bed spreader and a bread spreader.

KV, 8, Buena		You Don’t Know How Lucky You Are by Dr. Seuss This book is about how lucky you are compared to other people in Dr. Seuss land. For example, Mr. Bix’s machine is always breaking down and he never gets to sleep. Harry Haddow has “no shadow.” It was a really hard book to read because it had lots of tongue twisters.

KV, 8, Buena		World of Jellyfish By Davude Shale It is mostly about the Man-of-War jellyfish. This type of jellyfish can be 20-100 feet long. They are able to sting with a sharp needley thread in their tentacles. Without treatment, you can die from this sting. I would like to have a jellyfish as a pet, but not a Man-of-War!

CH, Millville		Alice the Fairy by David Shannon. I Loved this book. Alice tries to be a fairy. She calls herself a temporary fairy. She says she has wings that make her fly. But she flys fast. She can turn her dad's cookies into her cookies. She tries to make herself disappear. This book is so funny.

LD, 8, Fairton		Nate the Great Goes Undercover by Marjorie Sharmat. The story was about a boy that was a detective. He had a case to solve. The case was about a tipped over trashcan. They had to find out who ate Oliver's trash. Nate the Great thought Oliver was a pest. At the end of the story they found out who was eating the garbage. It was ??????

BW, Cedarville		Nate the Great and the Tardy Tortoise by Marjorie Sharmut. Nate the Great found a tortoise in his yard eating the flowers. He looks for the tortoise’s home while he put the tortoise in a box with lots of holes and asks his two friends if the tortoise is theirs. He finds the owner by following the track the tortoise took while eating the flowers. Nate the Great solves another case. I would recommend this story to children who like mystery books. In the back it gives a bit of a summary of all the Nate the Great Books. 5 out of 5 stars.

MH, Millville		Nate the Great and the Phony Clue by Marjorie & Craig Sharmat. I Like Nate The Great books. They're cool. I like them because he figures out cases. I hope I can make a book too.

SB, 9, Millville		Kaya's Hero by Janet Shaw. This book is about an Indian girl named Kaya. Kaya wants to be like a Swan Circling, a brave warrior woman at her camp. Swan Circling has heard the other children calling her "Magpie", the nickname she got for being irresponsible. When Swan Circling is killed when going to get food, Kaya fights back tears through many difficult times.

AH, Millville		Cricket in Times Square by George Sheldon. I loved the part when the cricket thought his friend was going to be eaten because I never knew that cats can get along with mice. This story was my favorite.
