Amazing Aircraft by Seymour Simon. I learned a lot from this book. I learned that the great scientest Leonardo Da Vinci drew plans for flapping wing machines. American pilot Lindbergh was the first to fly alone. The Hindenburg was an 800-foot-long airship filled with hydrogen gas. Planes that take off from and land on water are called seaplanes. The Spitfire was a British fighter plane during World War II. The Boeing 747 made it's first flight in 1969. I think you should read this book because you can learn a lot from this book. |

The Painted Fan by Marilyn Singer. An emperor in Japan takes over the Land of the Seven Caves. Nobody liked him. He went to the soothsayer and he told the emperor that a fan would be the end of him. He had all of the fans around burned. Then he fell in love with Bright Willow and they were going to get married, but he loved pearls more than Bright Willow. He also discovered that Right Willow really loved a boy named Sea Horse and he had her put in jail. She would be freed only if she could bring the emperor the pearl from the Seventh Cave which was cursed with evil demons. Does she make it? I couldn't put this book down! |

Somehow the rats end up in the race. It was one of the funniest books I ever read. It looks like a comic book, but it was really long. I can’t wait to read the book that comes before. |

This is the first of a series of "Bone books." I read the other two and now everything makes sense. |

The Austere Academy
by Lemony Snicket.
This story is like one of the other summaries of Lemony Snicket's books I have given you. Except this time they go to a school called the Austere Academy. They are ridiculed by all of the students, except the Quagmire twins. They become friends and find their arch enemy Count Olaf is now a gym teacher there. Everything goes great until he invites them S.O.R.E. (Special Orphan Running Exercises.) So they are nervous to what is to come. When the Baudlaire Orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, show up all they did was run. They did this every night till morning. Soon their grades started to plument. They overheard if they fail the gym teacher will take them to home school. So they see he is trying to make them fail to get them in his possession. Their teachers say they will administer a verbal test to them, and if they get one wrong they will fail. Count Olaf keeps calling them to run. This leaves no time to sleep or study. What will they do? Will they fall into Count Olaf's clutches, or will they pass the tests? I dare anyone to try and find out for themselves. |

by Lemony Snicket.
The Grim Grotto is the eleventh story from Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. The Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Claus, and Sunny, get stranded in the Stricken Stream until a summary comes, and rescues them. When they arrive and find the adults can't fit in the cave so the kids suit up and go alone. When they get to the end of the cave the sugar bowl is gone. On the way back the youngest child, Sunny, gets poisoned by a deadly mushroom with one hour to live if left untreated. Sunny gets the antidote, but gets captured by Count Olaf. So the children have to get away without getting killed by Olaf's henchmen. They make it out and go back to the dark waters of Stricken Steam. This is a great adventure book. I would recommend this book to anyone. You'll have to read the book to know what happens next. |

Sky pirates come and his parents send him into hiding for his life. Twig is traveling a trail when he wanders off. He finds a village and nobody knows about the trail. So he goes from village to village looking for the trail. He doing this he gets battered, bruised, chewed by ferocious trees, and leading up to being dropped off a cliff by a scary gloamglover. He is falling at a rapid pace when a bird comes and swoops him up. He is put onto a skyship. Twig is scared, but finds the captain is his long lost father who had to get rid of him in fear of his life. So they live happily ever after until the seconf book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good fairy tale or suspense book. So why don't you find out how good this book is for yourself. |

There was a new boy in school and MaryKate liked the new kid and she wanted to take him to the dance. So Ashley asked for her but he said that he only swing danced and Ashley said she knew how to but she did not know how to. The next day was when the fashion van came and Ashley and Jennifer had already taken classes for modeling. Ashley did not take the classes so they tried out. MaryKate made it but Ashley didn't make it so that night the dance was on. MaryKate asked Jeremy to dance but he said no. He confessed he didn't know how to dance so MaryKate taught him how to slow dance. The next day was the photo shoot and they saw Ashley in the crowd so they were both models. |
