Gosh...what a book. Let me tell you about it.....Why not read some of the reviewed books?

KR,9 , Millville   Veterinarians by Lucia Raatma
I liked this book because I want to be a vet when I grow up and it taught me. It was about what vets do, what tools they use, how they help, where they work, with whom they work, what they wear, what training it takes, what skills they need, and what problems they face. Those were all the questions in the book and they were all answered. Some vets do medical research, and others do other things like physically helping the animals. The tools they use are the same as a physicians. They help by making pets heal and get over their diseases. Like rabies. They work laboratories, animal hospitals, or farms and zoos. Even at the army, navy, or circus! The vets work with animals of course! The vets usually wear medical coats over their own clothes. If they work with large animals they wear boots. Some wear heavier clothes when they work at farms or zoos. The training it takes is going to college and passing. Then going to vet college and passing. It's hard work. Vets must have respect for animals and must be calm and gentle. Those are the skills they need. The problems vets face are working long hours, travel a lot, and sometimes can't help an animal get well which is sad for them and the pet owner. I liked that this book taught me many things and helped me a lot!
