VP, 8, Buena		Popeye: Danger Ahoy by Paul S. Newman I found this book at the Millville Library Book Sale.  I love to watch Popeye on TV and I couldn't wait to read this book.  It is about Pappy and a TV crew that turns out to be the Sea Hag and her bad guys.  It was exciting.  It isn't the same as watching the cartoon, it is better because more happens.
VP, 9, Buena		Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest by Christopher Nicholas Bambi is staying with his dad, the Prince of the FOrest, but can only stay with him until spring because his dad has things to do to help the other animals. He then stays with another Mommy Deer who gets caught in a trap. Can his Dad help?
NP, Millville		Caught in the Act by Juan Lowery Nixon This story is about a boy named mike he leaves his home because his mother could not take care of him.  So his new home is with the friedrichs.  He thinks Mr. Fredric killed Reuben, his hired man.
KV,8 ,Buena		St. Patrick’s Day Shillelagh by Janet Nolan This story is about a boy who lives in Ireland during the famine and he had to come to America.  He cut off a piece of his favorite tree and made it into a shillelagh.  It was passed on to each generation in the new country.  One day a little girl finds the stick in the closet and asks her Grandpa to tell the story.  This is how she learns about her family’s history.
AG, 8, Millville		The Chicken Sisters by Laura Numeroff. This story is about three sisters, violet, poppy and babs. Violet liked to bake and could not see very well. So she always made a mess. Poppy loved to knit. Babs couldn't hear very well but loved to sing.  I liked this story because this story reminds me of my gramma and my aunts. They are funny too. You will like it too!
