Gosh...what a book. Let me tell you about it.....Why not read some of the reviewed books?

This story is about how Jasmine (From Aladdin) got Rajah the tiger.  If you like Disney princesses, you will like learning how Jasmine first got Rajah as a kitten and took care of him.
 AHi, Millville   Journey to the New World by Kathryn Lasky
This story is about a girl named Patience Whipple, who is coming to America with her family. It is such a great book.
 NT,11, Bridgeton   Adam's Key by Eleanor Lattimore.
The book was about a boy named Adam.  One day he was going to school and his dog followed him but he sent the dog home.  He found a shiny key that belonged to a treasure box.  He bought a whistle that he could use to call his dog. I think everybody would like this book because it is a good story and it has my name in it. I would give this five stars!
 AM, Cedarville   Your Body's Heroes and Villians by Norbert Landa.
YBHV is a very interesting book about your immune system.

It is about a bull whole loves to sniff flowers instead of fighting. One day people come to get read for the bull fight.  They look for the best bull to fight. He stays out of it and goes and sits under his tree. Then, without noticing, he sits on a bee and he acted crazy from the pain. The men chose him.  Will Ferdinand ever come back?

Landed is a true story about a young Chinese boy trying to get to his family in America. Will he ever get to America, or will he have to stay in China? Read this book to find out.

 CH, Millville   The Red Book by Barbara Lehman.
This book has no words but the pictures speak for themselves. The book is about a red book that gets lost and another person finds the book.
 AM, Millville   Who's Mandie? by Lois Gladys Leppardis.
Who's Mandie? is a story about 9 year-old Mandie. While walking home from school one day she finds a cat. Will the owner try to come and find the cat or will she be able to keep it forever? Read the adventure to find out.
 KV, 8, Buena   Don't Be My Valentine: A Class Room Mystery by Joan M. Lexall.
This is a story about a girl and a boy.  The girl always wants to help the boy in class, but the boy doesn’t want help, so he writes her a mean Valentine.  The girl finds it on the floor and gives it to the teacher.  They stop fighting, but just for Valentine’s Day.  Can they stay friends forever?
 LD,8, Fairton   Frederick by Leo Lionni.
There was a mouse named Frederick and he was lazy. He hardly did any work. All he collected were sun rays, colors and words. They had little food left. Did they survive???
 KV,8,Buena   Frog and Toad Together by Arnold Lobel.
Frog and Toad are really good friends.  This story tells about their adventures.  In one of the chapters, they climb a mountain.  They almost get killed by an avalanche.  Not all of the stories are as exciting.  Some are about how to be a good friend.  There are lots of Frog and Toad books.  I like all of the ones that I have read so far.
 BW, Cedarville   Mouse Tales by Arnold Lobel.
 This is about a father who tells his seven children seven different stories so they would go to bed.  The stories were totally separate from each other.  I would recommend this book for younger children who have trouble going to sleep.  Earns 5 out of 5 stars.
 SM, Millville   Froggy East Out by Jonathan London..
They were going out to dinner. Froggy got dressed. Then it was time to go. Froggy was not good. So they went to a fast flies place. This is a great book.
 DT, Millville   Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan London..
The story is about a frog that can't swim so that mother teach the frog how to swim.
 KV, 8, Buena   Egyptian Pyramid by Elizabeth Longley.
This book is about the building of pyramids.  Each page shows a different layer being added.  I learned that besides the pyramids for Kings there were also Queen pyramids where the queen and the pharaoh’s daughters were buried.  It is a really to see how many people were needed to make these giant stone pyramids.
 KV, 8, Buena   Welcome to the Ice House by Jan Loren.
This book is actually a poem about the arctic and tundra.  It is also about the animals that live there.  It makes you want to go visit this place and hug the animals – especially my favorite – the arctic fox.

Jonas is from a world where there is no rain, no birthdays, no grandparents, and no color. Going into the most important day of his childhood the ceremony of 12, where he and his friends will be told what job they will have until they enter the house of the old. When it comes to Jonas’s number, he is skipped .After this is explained Jonas is given the most import job in the community the receiver of memories.

Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
Kira, a girl who born with paralyzed legs lives in a community where the weak are tossed aside he father being  killed by beasts and her of disease is  ready to be feed to the beasts, is take in front of the council of elders. Her life is spared and she is given an important job because of her special talent. She live in a room with running water across from a soon to be friend the  Thomas the carver.       

KP, Millville   Star Wars: A New Hope by George Lucas
Star Wars has been an inspiration. Not only has the movie been a hit but the books have reached high standards too, but one of my faovite is A New Hope. It was originally called The Adventures of Luke Skywalker but has changed. The adventure begins on a dessert planet of Tantoonie where Luke Skywalker begins his quest. Two things are a mystery: Why are there droids here, and who is Ben Kenobie. Suddenly,there is a transmission holograhm is made to help save the galaxies. He teams with a scoundral and a walking carpet to help, but soon Kenobie trains Luke to be a Jedi and saves Princess Leia from the death star run by Darth Vader.
KP, Millville   Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back by George Lucas
The epic trilogy continues with the destruction of the death star. Everyone thinks it is safe. The trio head to the icy planet of Hoth to get recuperated. They soon learn that Darth Vader has sent his imperial walkers to take care of them. When Luke realizes that he needs more training, he takes his x-wing to find the once powerful Jedi Yoda. While that happens, Hans Solo and Princess Leia head to his friend Lando for help. Will Luke finish his training? Don't keep reading this, go get it!
NT, Bridgeton   Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back by George Lucas
What is this book about?
This book is a novelisation of the movie. It is very good and in some respects even better than the movie because it tells more about what happened.
 What did you like about it?
 It had some things that were added to it that weren’t in movie and the movie had some things that weren’t in the book. It was very good.
Who would enjoy reading it?
Anyone who likes Star Wars.
