Gosh...what a book. Let me tell you about it.....Why not read some of the reviewed books?

SM, Millville   Jack and the Beanstalk.
I really Like this story! This story is about a boy named Jack. He was very poor. So his mother said, "Go take our cow to the market and sell her." Soon Jack met an old man. The man bought the cow and gave him magic seeds. When he got home, his mother was very mad and threw the seeds out the window. In the morning Jack looked out the window there was a giant beanstalk. Jack climbed up the beanstalk twice and stole things from the giant each time.
SW, 8, Millville   The Bug Scientests by Donna M. Jackson.
This book is about people who study bugs and the different jobs that they have. This book is great for anyone who likes bugs.
IO, Millville   Counting Cows by Woody Jackson.
This book taught me other words for cows..
IO, Millville   Picture This... by Alison Jay.
It helped me add more words to my vocabulary.
KV,8,Buena   Sea Turtle Journey by Lorraine Jay
The story describes a sea turtle's life from when it hatches to when it is grown up.  I learned that sea turtles can eat crabs.  This is a good book for anyone who  wants to learn more about sea turtles or sea life.
AM, Millville   Left Behind: The Kids  by Jerry Jenkins & Tim LaHaye
Left Behind: The Kids  is a story on four kids being left behind after the Rapture. The four kids ignore their parents instructions and face difficult problems along the way.
NT, Millville   Priscilla and Rosy by Sharon Jennings.
This story is about Priscilla & Rosy. They had made plans to spend time together but then Rudolph called and said, "My Uncle is taking me to his boat can you come?".  Priscilla said yes and it became a problem. Later she realized she couldn't be mean to Rosy. So she packed her stuff and went to Rosy's house. While Rosy was sleeping, she cooked something. When Rosy woke up Priscilla she made whatever she made and read their favorite book. What I have learned from this book is when I make a promise.
DP, Millville   Billy the Bird by Susie Jenkin-Pearce.
This book was very interesting. It is about a boy who's name is Billy Bird and he has the ability to fly every full moon. He foils a burgular and scares people when he flys. One day he tries to fly and an eclipse takes away his powers. I would recommend this book.
JP, Millville   Cats by Gallimard Jeunesse.
At the begging of the story I learned that the cats we keep as pets are called domestic cats. Almost all cats have a coat of soft fur to protect them and keep them warm. Cat's fur comes in many different colors and designs. In the middle of the story I learned learned that when a cat's ears are normal it means it is peaceful, when th cat's ears are pointy it means that the cat is angry, when the cat's ears are down it means the cat is frightened, when the cat's ears are turned it means it is happy. You should read this book because you can learn more about cats.
KH, Millville   Colors by Gallimard Jeunesse.
The inside of a pencil looks really cool. I know because one time a girl named Tanisha broke a pencil my Spanish teacher gave me. Markers look cool in the middle too. I know this because of the book. Red, blue, and yellow are the primary colors and the secondary colors are purple, green, and orange. And the ones that make purple are red and blue and the ones that make green are yellow and blue and the ones that make orange are red and yellow.
SP, Millville   The Earth and Sky Book by Gallimard Jeunesse and Jean-Pierre Verdet.
The Earth and Sky Book was interesting because it showed me the Big Dipper and Little Dipper. This was the best book I picked out because I got to see volcanoes. Some animals live underground.
KH, Millville   Fruit by Gallimard Jeunesse
There are six different kinds of apples: the McIntosh, the Granny apples, the Russet, the Red Delicious, the Winsap, and the Golden Delicious. What I think is weird about apple trees is that in spring the apples are flowers. Inside a peach is a nut that is a seed but you can't eat it. It is poisonous. There are a lot of different kind of fruit.
JP, Millville   Bears by Gallimard Jeunesse
The title of my book is Bears. At the begining I learned that my brown bears and black bears live in the mountains. I all so learned that bears sleep during much of the winter, but they do not really hibernate. They wake up on warm winter days to look for food, all so bear cubs are born in the winter. Mother bears usually have to bear cubs at once. Bears are very good climbers. Mother Bears take good care of her cubs. Bears are mammals just like us. In the middle I learned that bears don't care if they get stung. Bears are excellent swimmers. The cubs learn to swim very quickly. At the end of the story, I learned that when the Arctic winds blow, the polar bear sleeps with its back to the wind and it keeps its face warm between its paws. At the very end of the story I learned that scientests don't classify the Panda is really a bear, and I all so learned that sloth bears move very slowly because they are sometimes called honey bears. Sloth Bears live in India and Sri Lanka. You should read this book because you can learn more about bears.
KH, Millville   Horses by Gallimard Jeunesse
There are a lot of different kinds of horses. The biggest horse is the shire and the littlest one is the pinto. My favorite parts about the horse is the main and the tail. I also like to ride horses. It's fun. I don't know what kind of saddle I rode on but I know that there are a lot of different kinds of saddles. Horses need a lot of care. You have to brush them every day and other stuff.
KH, Millville   Water by Gallimard Jeunesse
If there was no oceans or water on earth, then the whole world would be desert. A long time ago, people didn't have plumbing. They had to use buckets and pumps. Your body has two thirds of water is parts of you.
KH, Millville   Weather by Gallimard Jeunesse
When you are at the beach you can bring a kite but you can only fly it when it is not that windy or else it will blow away. If there is an umbrella it might blow away. Did you know that fog is clouds that come down to close to the ground?
SP, Millville   Castles by Gallimard Jeunesse
The title of my book is Castles. I learned a lot about this book. I learned that if visitors wished to enter they had to lower the drawbridge, and raise a heavy iron gate called a portcullis. I also learned that in side of the castle people were safe from their enemies. I also learned that there was no electricity, running water, or heat. On cold nights, the hole family might sleep in one bed to keep warm. The gigantic stone ovens, fiery spits, and boiling caldrons were going night and day. Lords and ladys from neighboring castles came to feasts in the great hall. Knights were the soldiers of the day. They wore heavy armor made of iron. Knights often entertained the nobles with fighting contests called jousting tournaments. The horses were protected from the swords and lances by their own armor. If the enemy succeeded in entering the castle, the soldiers fought hand to hand with shields, crossbows, swords, mace clubs, and axes. I think you should read this book because you can learn a lot about castles.
 KV,8,Buena   Castles by Gallimard Jeunesse
This book is about how people in the Middle Ages and what they had to do to keep enemies out of their castle.  I learned some strange facts - like how in the winter, the whole family would sleep together in one bed.  The pictures really help you understand the basics of castles..
NT, 11, Bridgeton   The Night Flyers by Elizabeth M. Jones.
The Night Flyers is about a girl who raises homing pigeons with the ability to fly at night. Her father is away during World War I. It is a very good book.
CS, Upper Deerfield   Ghost Game by Marcia Jones.
Is about kids that go to a haunted school and meet ghosts that try to hurt them at first, then they become friends.
HM, Millville   Never Talk to Strangers by Irma Joyce.
This book is not talking to strangers and animals. This was a good book, kids will really like this book.
