KV,8, Buena		Millions of Cats by Wanda Gag. An old man and woman have no children and are lonely. They decide to get a cat, but the man finds not one or two, but millions of cats. The cats start fighting with each other because they each think they are the prettiest. Which cat will the couple keep? Anyone who loves cats like I do will like this book and want to find out.

KV,8, Buena		Mummies and Ancient Egypt by Anita Ganeria. I learned a lot about Egypt from this book – not so much about mummies. It is a really good book to read for history class. I learned about the thousands of people needed to construct the Great Pyramid of Giza.

IO, Millville		Here Comes Poppy and Max by Lindsey Gardiner. This book was easy to read. And it had a little bit of love in it.

AV, Millville		Pooh's Honey Tree by Isabel Gaines. This book is okay. It is about a bear named Pooh. Pooh is always hungary. So one day Pooh decides to get some honey from a honey tree. When that didn't work, he decided he needed help from a friend.

KV,8,Buena		The First Thanksgiving by Jean Craighead George This is a book about how the pilgrims came to Plymouth. It was a sad book. It tells you how Squanto got kidnapped when he was a little boy. When he got free, his tribe was dead. It was also sad because more than half of the pilgrms died the first winter. You should read this on Thanksgiving Day -it will give you the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

KV,8, Buena		The Prince Sparrow by Mordicae Gerstein This is about a mean princess and how she makes a friend. At her 8th birthday party, she meets a little sparrow. He reminfs her of a story her maid had told her, so she has a special silver cage built for it and they become friends. When the princess opens the cage, the sparrow escapes. Will it come back? Read and find out what happens to the princess and the sparrow.

KV, Buena		Scary Fright, Are you Alright? by Scott Gibala-Braxholm A little monster girl names Scary is playing with a human friend when she finds out that she likes butterflies,, rainbows and kittens. When her parents find out, they take her to the doctor, because they think she has a disease. Even the doctor thinks so, so she gives her medicine. They think that the medicine works, but Scary still likes rainbows, kittens, and butterflies. Read to find out what happens.

SK, Millville		Girl Friends by unknown This book is called Girl Friends. It is a book on how to help and make friends. There are ideas on how to bring parties to life and everything. It is so cool.

KV, 9, Buena		Ripley's Believe It or Not Virtual Odditorium by Katherine Gleason and Catherine Nichols. This Ripley book is very interesting and disgusting too. The worst was the man with 13cm horn growing out of his head. If you like creepy things, this is the book for you.

SM, Millville		Ruby by Maggie Glen. The story is about a bear named Ruby. When she was made she was made with spotted leopard material. So when the bears were being chosen, Ruby was marked with an "S". She was put in the second box. Ruby really wanted to get bought, though. Over night, she escaped and found a home with Susie. I liked this story a lot. I also really hope you like my work.

LD,8, Fairton		The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses by Paul Goble. The people were always moving from place to place following the buffalo herds. There was a girl in the village and she loves wild horses. One day she felt tired so she took her colt and laid down. When she was sleeping, a storm came. The horses were going wild. When she saw the horses, she jumped on one and led them to dry land.

IO, Millville		Who's There? by Porter Gold. It was good! The animals had fun.

IO, Millville		What is a Fossil? by Meish Goldish. This story told me that a fossil was any plant or animal that lived very long ago..

IO, Millville		What Do You Do At The Zoo? by Susan Goodman. The boy in the story was very helpful. It was very nice of him to help the zookeeper..

AM, 12, Millville		The Boy Who Wanted a Family by Shirley Gordon. Gordon is a story about seven yr. old Michael. He keeps being swapped from foster home tp foster home and wonders if he'll ever have a real family

KV,8, Buena		Apes and Monkeys by John Grassy This is about some of the strangest monkeys ever known. The smallest monkey can fit in a grown up person's hand. Baboons are the meanest monkeys ever. Want to know more? Read this book!

NT,11, Bridgeton		Eyewitness Books Castles by Christopher Gravett. Castles is about the different castles during the middle ages. It is very interesting.

LD,8, Fairton		Miss Tizzy by Libba Moore Gray. Miss Tizzy always wears tennis shoes and a purple hat with a flower. On Monday's she baked cookies. On Tuesday's she made puppets out of old socks. On Wednesdays she played her bagpipes. What did she do for the rest of the week????

NT, Millville		Mother Teresa by Carol Greene I like this book because it has lots of pretty pictures. Mother Teresa is a really loving and caring person. In fact, she is the best caring person I ever learned about. Come and read this book, too!

KV,8, Buena		The Story of Halloween by Carol Greene This book tells the history of Halloween and how traditions from other lands give us “our” Halloween. I learned a lot. I learned how people in Ireland used to carve turnips to make jack-o-lanterns. When they came to America, pumpkins were easier to carve and that’s why our jack-o-lanterns are made from pumpkins. It also talks about the Celts and Romans and how their customs became our modern Halloween. You can learn a lot, too, by reading this book.

AM,12, Millville		Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie by Kristiana Gregory. Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie is a true story about Hattie Campbell and her family. Her Pa finally decides they are going to set off to Oregon from Missouri. Will the family ever get there and will they face leavinv all their things behind?

AM,12, Millville		When Freedom Comes by Kristiana Gregory. When Freedom Comes is Hope's Revolutionary War Diary and her story while she waits out the war. Will her father ever come home safely? I really loved this book.

AM,12, Millville		The Winter of Red Snow by Kristiana Gregory. The Winter of Red Snow is Abaigail Stewart's Revolutionary War diary. This book was great. It was about the cruel battle at Valley Forge.

SW,8, Millville		Secrets of the Mummies by Harriet Griffey. This book is about how the Egyptians made mummies and their beliefs. It also talks about mummies from all over the world. It has a lot of pictures. It's a little spooky so kids should be older before they read it.

KV,8, Buena		Snow White and Rose Red by the Brothers Grimm. I had never heard of this book before. I don’t think the Snow White in this book is the same one as the girl with the Seven Dwarves since this time she has a sister. The two sisters meet a talking bear in the woods and they invite him to their home. An evil elf was trying to harm Snow White and Rose Red, but the bear saved them from the elf. However…this is not the end of the story.

KM,14, Millville		The Grand Slam Williams Sisters by Bill Gutman. This book was a biography on Venus and Serena Williams. It tell you about how hard it was to become famous tennis players. I enjoyed reading it.

LD,8, Fairton		Educating Arthur by Donna Gynell. It's about a dog. He always does things wrong. So the family he lived with decided to teach him.
