The Slime Wars by Debbie Dadey.
Three boys and three girls live on opposite sides of a street.  The girls say that if the boys cross the yellow line, it means war.  Soon Jason gets a letter to appear on a game show called Slime Wars.  Every team has three boys and three girls.  It is a question and answer game so they study together so no one ends up in a slime pit at the end of a slide.  I would recommend this book to kids who like gross, slimy stuff.   5 out of 5 stars.

Then they played hide and seek.  Beano and Barney got picked up by the dog catcher. Then the puppy met Luke and named him Snowy. He took him home. Then Snowy met Cassie. They became friends. Then Cassie told Snowy about Christmas. He got really excited. All that he wanted was a name and a house which he already had. Then Luke made a bed. It was night and everyone was asleep. Abadazad: The Road to Inconceivable By J.M. DeMatteis

In the beginning of this story a girl brings her brother to a fair.  The brother wants to go on a ride again, but they are out of money.  As they walk past a clown's booth, a clown says, "If the boy wants to go on the ride again, he will."  He gives them two tickets.  The sister knows that they shouldn't take anything from strangers, but the brother really wants to go on the ride.  When the boat that the boy was in comes around at the end, he is missing.  Five years go by, and the little brother still has not been found.  The woman who lives across from Kate's apartment invites her to tea.  The old woman tells Kate that she has visited Abadazad, a mythical land in a storybook. She tells Kate to go there to look for her brother. Kate doesn't believe her and leaves. When the woman dies, she leaves Kate a globe that was made by the Two-Fold Witch.  After using magical words to open the globe, she enters the globe to search for her brother with the help of Queen Ija.  This is the beginning of a ten book series.  I REALLY liked it!  I am currently reading the second one!

Goofy Takes Off: An Adventure in Switzerland by Disney
This book is quite funny. It doesn't start out too well in the
beginning, because when Mickey, Goofy, Morty & Ferdie were at their hotel in Switzerland, they realized wasn't free until the next night. So, when Morty & Ferdie went to play with some other children, who introduced themselves as Fritz and Margrit and their baby brother Hans. Hans protested about being called the baby. Their parents came, and when they heard the problem, they invited Mickey and his friends to stay at their house. The children tried to teach Goofy, Morty & Ferdie how to ski. When they had done well at the beginner's slope, Goofy went to the top of the mountain, and he skied right into a village! He met a person working at the chocolate shop. She told him they were giving a box of chocolates to the winner of the ski-jump competition which was to be held that day. She gave him directions to the competition, but,  of course, he got lost again. Then he found himself in front of a clock & watch shop. He met a man working there who told him they were giving a pocket watch to the winner of the ski-jump competition. The man also gave him more directions to the competition. He followed the directions but found himself at the top of a steep hill. He could see the competition from this hill. He lost his balance and found himself sliding down it. Hans, who was trying to join the competition, saw Goofy and went down and saved him. Hans was at the ski jump competition to prove he was not a baby.

WG, Millville   Robin Hood Saves the Day by Disney.
This book was a very, very wacky book. All of the characters were animals! For example, Robin Hood was a fox, and Little John was a bear.In this book, there was not enough money collected from the people for greedy Prince John. So most of the people got arrested for no reason, except Prince John was too greedy. The sheriff went into the church, and there was a box that said "Help the Poor." There was only one coin in it, but he still took it. Friar Tuck protested, but the sheriff didn't do anything except arrest Friar Tuck to be hanged. Robin Hood and Little John, disguised as beggars, got into the castle and saved Friar Tuck and the people. They also took all of Prince John's gold by throwing it out the window into a cart below. They divided it between themselves and the other people.
JP, Millville   Sleeping Beauty by Disney.
I picked Disney's Sleeping Beauty because I wanted to read about Aurora. Aurora means "Dawn". One part of the book I liked the best was when the fairies gave Aurora their gifts. At the end of the story Aurora pricked her finger on a spinning wheel and fell into a deep sleep. You must read this story to find the happy ending.

Over the summer she made a friend on the computer also since she is sort of a computer geek.
