A cat names Henry lives with a woman near the ocean. He wants to know what the ocean is like.  He sneaks on a yacht.  After a while, a storm comes up and one of the men on the ship falls overboard.  Henry was the only one who saw it happen.  What can he do to save the man?  Read the book to find out.

 KH, Millville   Rosie, A Visiting Dog's Story by Stephanie Calmenson.
Rosie is a visiting dog. She cheers up people who are sad, sick, or lonely. When she was young, she went to puppy kindergarten. She learned her lessons fast. Before she started the ASPCA, she did things to be fun or sit with someone on different streets. She had tests and passed them all with flying colors. She went to hospitals and places like that and cheer people up. Everyone thinks she is a great dog.

I think this book is great. It teaches people you don't have to be afraid of anyone.
 KV,8,Buena   Pinduli by Janell Cannon.
Pinduli is a little hyena who lives with his mother is the pack.  One night, they are about to go hunting because there is not much food.  Before they leave, Pinduli asks his mother if he can go out and play.  The animals he meets make fun of him - especially his big ears.  He tries to change his appearance.  When the animals see him again, they don't recognize him and they think he is a ghost.  He makes a deal not to haunt them if they each give him a little food.  He was a pretty smart hyena!  The pictures in this book are really good, too.

This story is about Dr. Welch finding a way to make grape juice because people who come to the church will have juice instead of wine. The colorful pictures make reading this book great fun.

This book is about how Dr. Welch decided to make grape juice to replace the wine at church.  It is suprising to learn that he lived in the area that is now Vineland back in 1865.  I got this book at the annual Founders Day in Vineland.
 JM, Cedarville   Chocolate Touch by Patrick Catling.
The Chocolate Touch about a boy called John who loves chocolate a bit too much. One day while walking he finds a strange coin and walks into a strange chocolate store witch the owner says he takes strange coins. So John buys a piece of chocolate and eats it. The next morning when John brushes his teeth the toothpaste tastes like chocolate! Soon every thing John eats or drinks turns to chocolate!!!  I think kids ten and up would love it. I gave it 4 stars.  
 KV,8,Buena   Minnie and Moo Go To Paris by Denys Cazet.
Minnie and Moo are two cows.  They think they are going all over the world, but they are only a few miles from home. They think a power line tower is the Eiffel Tower.  It was very funny.
 KF, 8, Millville   Tiger Tales by Deborah Chancellor.
Since I love animals this was a perfect book.
 AM, Millville   Bob's Big Story Collection by Keith Chapman.
Bob's Big Story Collection is a bunch of stories about Bob the Builder's team. Will Spud ever learn not to be naughty, will travis stop before he paints the whole town.
 AHi, Millville   A is for Abigail by Lynne Cheney.
A is for Abigail  is a very good book. It's about the women freedom, and women making their own choices for freedom.
 AHi, Millville   America: A Patriotic Primer by Lynne Cheney.
America a Patriotic Primer is a very good book. It's about America's History

This book is an ABC book about our country. It has a lot of cool pictures and cool facts. Every page has information all over it. I love this book.

A is for Abigail is about the amazing American women like Abigail Adams, Harriet Tubman, Emily Dickinson and all the women like that. there are a lot of women that have saved our future. If it wasn't for them, we would not have rights today.
 NT,10, Bridgeton   The Toad Hunt By Janet Chenery
This book is about two boys. One doy they see a toad. After that, they are very interested in toads and frogs.
 AV, Millville   I will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato By Lauren Childs
I liked this book. It is about a little girl who's a picky eater and will never eat vegetables or fruits. So her older sister disguises them as something else. So then she tries them and finds out that they were delicious all along..
 AM, 12, Millville   Dive Right In By Matt Christopher
Dive Right In is a story about being a famous gymnast, but her coach sees she is having trouble. When traci meets a diving coach she wants  her to join. What will Traci do?
 JD,  Seabrook   Hockey Machine By Matt Christopher
The Hockey Machine is a story about a 13 year old kid named Steve Crandall who gets kidnapped into a hockey school. He is told his parents were informed, he would get a check every month, and he would like it. Now he plays for the Chariots. Steve hated being without his parents and wasn't allowed to talk to them. When he goes to the head of the school he finds there is a kid not mmuch older than him already to graduate from college. This sinister kid's name was Kenneth Agard, Jr. He was named after his dad who had his own professional team. Now Steve wants out and decides to try to runaway. I think anybody who loves a good mystery or suspense would love this book. So why not read it for yourself?

The School Story
is about a girl named Natalie Nelson, who writes a very good book called The Cheater. Her friend, Zoe, thinks it is so good, she should get it published. She knows only one good publishing company, but the editor of that company is her own mom. You will need to read this book to see if  Natalie and Zoe with the help of their English teacher can get the book published.

Janitor's Boy by Andrew Clements
The Janitor’s Boy is about a kid named Jack Rankin, who gets in trouble at the school where his dad works as a janitor. Jack must work 30 days as a janitor’s assistant, where he finds a closet full of keys. The keys lead him to getting trapped in the steam tunnel, he wonders if he will get out alive.

Lunch Money by Andrew Clements
Lunch Money was about a boy named Greg who likes to make money. When Greg goes to school he finds out he is good at making and selling comics. Then a girl called Maura Shaw starts making and selling comics. Soon Greg and Maura team up and sell comics. But when the principal hears this she, bans selling any thing at all. Greg and Maura battle their principal to see who is right or wrong. I think kids about ten and up would like this book for a good long reading. I swear I couldn’t stop reading it until it was finished. I gave the novel 5 stars

Lunch Money by Andrew Clements is a book about a boy named Greg, who is obsessed with making money, selling mini comic books to classmates at school. The plan is working until the principal of his school finds out what he is doing. Read to find out if Greg gets his chance to become a millionaire.

Queen Bee by Chynna Clugston
This book is about a girl named Hayley who is adopted and has a power called psychokinesis. She carries a locket with pictures of her and another girl whom she thinks is here sister. She gets transferred to another school and meets a girl named Trini. She shows her around the school and Hayley meets "the popular crowd" called the Hive. Hayley becomes the Queen Bee. Later a new girl "Alexa" comes into the room and desks start spinning and pencils fly through the air. Hayley finds out that Alexa has the same power as she. As Alexa becomes the new Queen Bee, Hayley gets mad. Since there is an upcoming talent show, the winner will be the New Queen Bee. Who will win?

Molly's Pilgrim is a story about Molly and everyone makes fun of her in school because she is not American This book was really good.

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
It started when Artemis Fowl and his bodyguard Butler obtained the fairy bible. These fairies are not the fairies out of a fairy tale. They live underground, they are more technologically advanced than humans, but they have some magic. When Artemis finally translates the fairy language English, he was able to read the fairy bible also called the Book. He and Butler were then able to track and capture a fairy. She was Captain Holly Short of the L E Precon Unit. When Commander Root found out, he and a couple of recon squads went to the surface to get Holly back. They tried and tried again, but Artemis would not give up. Finally they sent a troll. Butler fought the troll and finally won. After that Artemis gave up Holly.

This is a very good book about when the M.S.B kids go to "The Land Down under while searching for the mysterious kookaburra. While there they met some of the most amazing creatures in the world.

This book is about when the Magic School Bus kids go to Antartica. There they make a mistake and they don't know if they can get out of it. This is a very good book

This book is about when the M.S.B kids misacenly go back in time to the time of dinos. It is a really good book.

This book is about a girl named Samantha, who is an orphan. She lives with her Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornila. Her friend Nellie is a maid and then she goes to an orphanage called Cold rock House. Samantha tries her best to help Nellie. It is an adventurous book.

Granny Torrelli Makes Soup By Sharon Creech
 How could Baily my buddy, my pal. my friend for life be so mean. These were the words that came out of a twelve year-old girl named Rosie. Rosie is the main character in this story. Her best friend, Baily, who is only one week younger than her is blind. They've known each other since they were babies.  Baily knows how to read braille from going to a special blind school. Rosie learns to read it and decides to read a book to him that is in Braille. He gets mad and tells her that she is stuck up. So she leaves and slams the door behind her. Now it is the next day and her parents go out on a Friday night. This where Granny Torelli comes in. Granny Torrelli comes and starts to make dinner or as she calls it Zuppa. Granny and Rosie start to make a home-made soup. While the soup is cooking they start to talk about Baily even though Rosie was reluctant at first. When the soup is done they take some to Baily and his mom, Carmelita. Everyone on finishes their soup and Rosie and Baily make up. So all is well or as Granny says, "Tutto va bene." Soon a new girl (Janine) comes to live on the block. Baily spends all his time with her now and not with Rosie. Saturday comes and Granny comes to spend time with Rosie while her parents are out. Granny invites Baily over and they make pasta for a party the next day. She asks what is new and Baily says a wonderful new girl came. Granny saw Rosie was getting Jealous and started telling them about a girl named Violeta. She tried to take her best friend Pardo, but a new boy moved onto the block and she forgot all about him. The next day a new family came with two boys, and just like the story she forgot all about Baily. So they had the party with the neighbors too. At the end Granny had one last thing to say "Tutto va bene.". I recommend this book to anyone who likes good drama, How about you?

 Rosa is a story about a young girl named Rosa. Her family moved from Mexico to Washington to pick apples. Rosa becomes friends with Betty, and she does not know that more adventures await.
