Cumberland County Library 2009Established in 1963, the Cumberland County Library was the first library in Cumberland County to offer public access Internet workstations. Today, in additional to a substantial collection of traditional materials, the library maintains a computer lab along with public computers for children and adults. Cumberland County Library provides an in-depth reference collection to suplement the collections of other libraries in the county. The library purchases several online databases (most available to cardholders from home, as well) and provides a wide variety of materials and services in the forms of wireless access, CDs, videotape, DVDs, eAudiobooks, eBooks, and other digital formats.

Beginning November 2012, Cumberland County Library is now a member of the LOGIN consortium and shared Integrated Library System (ILS), an independent system of public, academic and school libraries based in Gloucester County. The switch to the larger LOGIN system promises to provide greater resources to Cumberland County residents, as well as the opportunity to borrow materials from the Cumberland County Library, the Cumberland County College Library, and many LOGIN libraries in Gloucester and Salem counties.

Other libraries migrating from the former CLUES system to LOGIN are: Beth Israel Community Library, Cumberland County College Library, the Lummis Historical and Genealogical Library, Pennsville Public Library, and Salem Free Public Library.
